practice2

abalosllopisarchitects was established in 2004 by Ana Ábalos Ramos and Pablo Llopis Fernández.
The practice have ten years of experience working across a breadth of scales and building types, both in Spain and abroad. Its work is characterized by its responsiveness to both physical and cultural contexts as well as by its accurate definition of the competition proposals.
The work of the practice has achieved critical recognition both for its built works, as “Can Feliç” Nursery school in Spain, and award winning competition entries, as Urban Re-structuring of Mitre and Alsina Squares in Argentina, Machu Picchu Museum and Visitors Centre in Peru, or Pedro Mercedes Pottery Museum in Spain. Its work has been published worldwide, such as C3 (Korea), Temas de Arquitectura (Spain) or PAR (Peru), and exhibited internationally.
The practice situates itself within a wider research context that includes university teaching as well as writing on architecture. Both, Ana Ábalos and Pablo Llopis, have been teaching and lecturing at several universities in Spain and abroad.
Current projects and works include the “Flor de Amancaes” Park in Peru (Landscape Architecture Award in I Biennial of Young Architecture and Urbanism in Peru 2013), Pedro Mercedes Pottery Museum in Spain, or ‘House of grace’ church in Kenya.
The practice is also involved in several design projects as part of jamdesignofficearchitects&designers.
